Cancellation Policy

The app is free, so there is nothing to cancel to keep using it. This policy is about cancelling a premium coaching plan, and about deleting your account and data. No friction, no dark patterns.

1. How to cancel coaching

Coaching billed by Protocol (web). Open the app, go to Settings, and choose Cancel coaching. Or email contact@startmyprotocol.com from the email on your account. We confirm cancellations within two business days.

Apple App Store. On your iPhone or iPad: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, Start My Protocol, Cancel Subscription. Apple controls App Store cancellations directly.

Google Play. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device, tap your profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Start My Protocol, Cancel. Google controls Play cancellations directly.

The free app. There is no subscription on the free app to cancel. If you want to leave entirely, you can delete your account and your data (see Section 3).

2. When cancellation takes effect

Cancelling a coaching plan takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to the coaching you already paid for until the end of that period, and you are not charged for the next one. Coaching fees already paid are non-refundable after the first 14 days (see Refund Policy).

3. Account deletion and data export

You can delete your account at any time, whether or not you have an active coaching plan. To delete your account and all associated data, open the app, go to Settings, choose Delete account, or email contact@startmyprotocol.com.

Before deletion, you have a 30-day window to export your data in a portable format. We provide an export of your protocol log, notes, and any other content you've created. After the 30-day window, your data is permanently deleted from our active systems. Backup copies persist for a limited rolling window after which they are also deleted. Once data is deleted, we cannot recover it.

If you need extended export time or help, contact us before your access ends and we'll work with you in good faith.

4. What stays free

Cancelling coaching does not affect your free access. Your account, your protocol log, your automated insights, and the longevity library remain available at no charge. You only lose access to the paid coaching itself.

5. Suspension for non-payment

If a coaching payment fails and is not resolved, we may suspend your coaching plan. Your free access is not affected by a coaching payment failure. The data export window in Section 3 always applies.

6. Termination by Protocol

We may suspend or terminate your coaching plan or account in accordance with our Terms of Use. If we terminate your access for reasons other than your breach of the Terms, we will provide a pro-rated refund of prepaid coaching fees and the same 30-day export window.
